The Wenger Knife: 117 Years of Continuous Improvement
Where does Wenger's inspiration come from? Firstly, Wenger doesn't just make knives and equipment for outdoor enthusiasts. Wenger is operated by outdoor enthusiasts. Each member of staff brings their own, personal outdoor experiences to the product development process.
Secondly, Wenger relies on professional outdoorsmen and women who have become an invaluable source of inspiration. Global adventurer Mike Horn, Swiss speed climber Ueli Steck and the crew of America's Cup defender Alinghi are part of the Wenger product design and development team.
In the true spirit of innovation, Wenger are on an endless quest to see what they're capable of achieving. Just like the outdoor adventurers who carry, and rely on Wenger knives.
Wenger - Industrial Master Cutlers:
For over a century Wenger has elevated the age old cutlery craft to the level of industrial nobility, and it constantly strives for perfection.
Wenger - One Tradition, One Culture:
The company, founded in 1893, is located in Delémont in the Swiss Jura region. The majority of its 200 employees are residents of the area, which is also home to the various high precision industries (watchmaking, machine tools, microtechnology, microelectronics...). It is therefore not surprising that the taste for innovation, precision and expert craftsmanship, as typical local values, inspire the company's own industrial culture.
